The primary goal of the FFMC is to enhance and supplement educational deficiency in the arts, specifically music, caused by repetitive school budget cuts. Through private donations and grants the FFMC is able to provide lesson scholarships to students in need and hire professional musicians to assist teachers, conduct workshops, and give students unique performance training opportunities throughout the community.

Moving Mountains motivates inner-city youth, to attach importance to their artistic goals by providing intensive training in all areas of entertainment and then spotlighting their development through dramatic productions. Simultaneously, providing them withpositive alternatives to the gangs, violence and substance abuse that plague inner-city schools and communities.

It all began when Troop 1 was founded in Coronado in January 1917. Ever since then, Girl Scouts San Diego has been helping girls to develop valuable life and leadership skills and a strong sense of self. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. We do this by investing in volunteer education and progressional girl programming for thousands of girls ages 5-18 across San Diego and Imperial counties in Southern California.

Bridge Kids International is a global non-profit organization helping young people of Africa and the African Diaspora, aged 13-25, unleash their social entrepreneurial spirits to solve economic development, education, environmental, girls’ rights, and health challenges and build sustainable communities.
