Vision House

Our mission is to make a significant contribution to the community by reducing the number of homeless men, women and children in Washington State. Vision House works to dramatically change the lives of homeless families by providing services that teach self-sufficiency, ultimately empowering our residents to avoid homelessness, poverty and abuse in the future.

Silverton Area Community Aid

Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA) is a non-profit social service organization whose mission is to improve lives by providing food, services and access to community resources. We provide emergency food, financial assistance and other services to people in need within the Silver Falls School District. Through our food pantry in 2020, we served an average of 209 households each month (about 640 people), providing them with a 3-5-day supply of food at each visit. We also provided over $107,000 in emergency financial aid to help residents of our community stay in their homes, pay utility bills, pay for prescriptions, receive dental care, and get to job interviews and other important appointments by providing bus passes and fuel vouchers. In 2021, the need is even greater.

CALIFORNIA COALITION FOR RURAL HOUSING PROJECT

Formed in 1976 following a farmworker housing conference, CCRH is one of the oldest state low-income housing coalitions in the country. Through advocacy, organizing, research, technical assistance, and leadership development our goal is to make the case for rural housing improvement and strengthen the capacity of the nonprofit and public sectors to provide affordable housing and related facilities. Members are primarily community-based nonprofit and public developers, including the largest self-help housing producers in the United States, as well as local government officials, and local activists concerned about rural quality of life.

Open House Ministries

Open House Ministries is a life restoring Christian family homeless shelter. In an ideal world, there would be no homeless families, however in Clark County, homeless families with children are a significant population struggling with a combination of social conditions. We believe that broken families can change when treated with dignity, unconditional love, appropriate intervention and the chance for a fresh start. We are committed to providing housing, food, clothing and case management to families with children, leading them to healing of body, mind and spirit. Through a supportive community, we provide families new paths to healthy living, restoring hope and breaking the bonds of poverty and homelessness

The People Concern

The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. One of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, The People Concern was formed in 2016 in a merger of two trusted social service organizations based in Los Angeles County, OPCC and Lamp Community. Informed by more than fifty years of work in the community, The People Concern is a leading provider of, and advocate for, evidence-based solutions to the multi-faceted challenges inherent in homelessness and domestic violence. With compassion and profound respect for those we serve, we provide a fully integrated system of care – including outreach, interim housing, mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, domestic violence services, lifeskills & wellness programs, and permanent supportive housing – tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth, and others who have nowhere else to turn. The People Concern’s model of integrated and comprehensive care empowers our participants to navigate the multi-faceted obstacles in their lives, become their best selves, and ultimately, connect with and contribute to their communities.
