The Corporation's mission is to provide emergency shelter and support services to victims of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and/or human trafficking; empower survivors/victims to create safe and self-sufficient lives for themselves and their children; and to educate and increase the public's awareness of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and associated issues.
The Shady Grove Pregnancy Center's primary purpose is to provide supportive care and life-affirming assistance to families experiencing a crisis pregnancy. All services are free and are provided by a trained staff of approximately 30 volunteers, two full-time and five part-time employees. The Center's work force is largely volunteer based. Over 30,000 women and their families have been served through our five programs - Pregnancy Testing, Sonogram, Parenting, Spanish, and Material Assistance. Financial funding comes from individuals, churches and organizations. For every dollar received, more than $.86 cents is spent on client programs.
The mission of the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence is twofold: * to provide services and support to those affected by sexual and domestic violence, and * to provide education and leadership within the community to change the societal conditions that cultivate these forms of violence.
