Labrador Rescuers (LR) is a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit, established in 2004 to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray, abandoned and unwanted Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes, including shelter dogs and dogs relinquished by their owners because of age, health, financial or other reasons. LR is known for rescuing senior dogs and dogs who have medical, surgical and other special needs that shelters, other rescues or owners are unable or unwilling to address. LR provides for those needs with the goal of making it possible for every dog to be adopted into a loving forever home. LR has saved over 5,700 dogs since its formation.

Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, Inc. (BARCS), is a non-profit organization created in July 2005 to take over the operations of the city shelter and to work directly with Baltimore City Animal Control. We take in homeless, neglected, and unwanted animals in Baltimore City. BARCS' mission is to accept and care for all animals in need and promote responsible pet ownership for a more humane community in Baltimore City.

Five Acres Animal Shelter's mission is to end pet homelessness, promote responsible pet ownership and advocate for animal welfare.

The Humane Society of Indianapolis (IndyHumane) is the leading voice for the welfare of animals and improving their quality of life. IndyHumane is the first choice in providing direct services for shelter cats and dogs, including adoption, foster home placement, behavior training, appropriate medical care, and affordable spay/neuter services. As the voice for the animals, IndyHumane brings together like-minded animal-focused individuals and groups to educate the public about animal welfare issues and concerns. For over 100 years, it's all about the animals.

The Dumb Friends League is committed to the welfare of animals: • We shall provide shelter and care for animals • We shall provide programs and services that enhance the bond between animals and people • We shall be advocates for animals speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves As the leading animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region, the Dumb Friends League has been helping pets and people in the Denver metro area and beyond for more than 100 years. The League is committed to the welfare of animals, speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. They welcome tens of thousands animals each year at two shelter locations: the Quebec Street shelter in Denver and the Buddy Center in Castle Rock. In addition to providing care and shelter for homeless pets, the League provides other services, including pet adoptions, lost and found, humane education, foster care, behavior training, animal cruelty investigations and donor-subsidized spay/neuter surgeries for pets in underserved areas. In 2012, the Dumb Friends League opened the Harmony Equine Center. The Center is for horses, as well as ponies, donkeys and mules, that have been removed from owners care by law enforcement authorities. It is not a sanctuary or a rescue facility and does not accept owner-relinquished horses. Located near Franktown, Colo., the Center can house up to 100 horses at a time in well-equipped barns and on 140 acres of pasture.

Hinsdale Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter providing innovative care and adoption services for all animals, including those that are harder to place. We educate, advocate and adopt out pets, acting as a voice for animals who depend on people for their care. We nurture the human-animal bond through community outreach and progressive programming, to help ensure the compassionate treatment of all animals. Our vision is to prevent animal suffering and neglect throughout our community and beyond, and to ensure that all animals in shelters and homes are well cared for and treated with compassion.

Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity with an all-volunteer staff.  It exists to provide rescue and adoption services for Labrador Retrievers who are homeless, or whose owners have abandoned, or are about to abandon them in the community or to local animal control or other humane organizations. Provide education on the importance of vet care/spay and neuter and responsible pet ownership. Area of activity is northeastern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania.

We seek out and take in the animals who no other organization will help or would simply euthanize because they are too expensive to heal. We rescue the abandoned, beaten, bred, fought, injured, terrified, defeated and betrayed. The minute they enter our doors, we look in their eyes and promise them ALL the second chance they deserve for health, home, commitment and love, no matter the amount of time or cost involved. Our Vision is to ensure a bright future for the underdog. To end needless suffering, negligence, and abuse. To serve the City of St. Louis and surrounding metro areas and have the largest inner-city animal sanctuary in the country.

The mission of 4 Paws for Ability is to: - Enrich the lives of children with disabilities by the training and placement of quality, task trained service dogs to provide increased independence for the children and assistance to their families. - Enrich the lives of veterans from recent conflicts who have lost the use of their limbs or their hearing while in active combat. - Educate the public to accept the use of service dogs in public places. - Assist with animal rescue when possible.
