When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, WCK serves comforting meals to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively. To support regional economies, WCK prioritizes purchasing local ingredients to cook with or distribute directly to families in need. FoSA (Friends of Short Ave), the booster club for Short Avenue Elementary in Del Rey, California, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the fundraising arm of the school. We are dedicated to providing enrichment opportunities that strengthen and support our neighborhood public school. During especially formative childhood years, our goal is to fortify academic growth, and inspire creative, artistic, and aesthetic understanding. We develop and manage fundraisers and programs in our efforts to maximize student experience and potential while also enhancing our community.
