Catholic Family Services of Durham provides counselling services to individuals, couples, families and children residing in Durham Region who are experiencing difficulties with personal, interpersonal, social, psychosocial and emotional functioning.

The Centre's role as an integral and leading force within the craft sector on Cape Breton Island is essentially educational, promotional and developmental. Programs offered at the Centre serve a broad range of craftspeople from the beginner and recreational to the emerging professional and the highly accomplished who derive their livelihood from the sale of their product. As part of its role in the development of the craft and design industry on the Island, the Centre coordinates professional development and business training programs for the craft professional to assist in the enhancement of existing businesses and in the development of new market and export opportunities.

CAWES helps thousands of women and children each year who are caught in the destructive cycle of domestic violence, adult female sexual assualt victims, and clients who require emergency accomodation . The shelter provides short term accomodation for up to 36 women and/or children at a time. In addition several programs provide the opportunity for clients to receive councelling and assistance during and after their stay. CAWES believes that every individual has a right to a life free from abuse; That providing a broad range of culturally sensative services and shelter will assist families to overcome the impact of family violence; Ending family violence requires societal change through education and awarenes; In the empowerment of women and children to regain control of their lives. Central Neighbourhood House (CNH) is a non-profit community based United Way agency located in central east Toronto. CNH provides programming and services to a broad range of clients from the Regent Park, St. Jamestown and Moss Park areas of Toronto. Poverty, language and education barriers that are often compounded by violence, drugs and alcohol abuse disadvantage our clients and community members. Founded in 1911, CNH has been an integral part of the community for close to 100 years!! CNH offers anti-violence programs for young men and women, friendly visits to seniors, children's camps, recreation programs, tutoring. Our Street Survivors program scours the city streets, parks, bridges, and underpasses looking for children, families, teens and adults living on the streets -- we offer them support services to help them look for housing, counselling and so much more.

For over 40 years, Community Living Durham North has been providing supports and services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families in the townships of Scugog, Brock and Uxbridge.

Volunteer Ottawa is a direct support organization for more than 340 not-for-profit and voluntary organizations in the community and is a critical link between volunteer energy and community need through its promotion of volunteerism to individuals, groups, workplaces and schools. Volunteer Ottawa is a resource for training, consultation and materials for all not-for-profit organizations and public institutions in the Ottawa region, and helps them build their capacity to engage volunteers successfully. Volunteer Ottawa is a leader, partner and educator on issues that impact on the voluntary sector and is experienced in managing multi-year projects aimed at building the organizational capacity of agencies in Eastern Ontario.
