At SHE Wins Inc., our mission is to create a pipeline of leadership for girls affected by violence. Using a small-cohort based approach, our summer and school leadership programs serve Newark girls ages 10-15 years old. Both programs fuse social justice, mentorship, and leadership development programming to directly address students’ social and emotional needs while also instilling critical civic, career, and college readiness skills.

In 1998, the club created the Foundation who’s mission is “To manage and grow the funds entrusted to it in a lawful manner and to make available charitable funding in perpetuity for qualified beneficiaries selected by the Rotary Club of Point West.” Since 1998, the Foundation has donated over $1.1 million to over one hundred worthy charitable causes in three broad categories: Organizations that create opportunity, enhance self esteem, and provide physical and moral support for vulnerable children; Programs that celebrate or promote community service; and Service activities of Rotary International and other Rotary clubs. Grants must finance a specific benevolent activity; requests for support of general operations (operating expenses) are not considered; and grants are made only to qualified 501 (c) (3) and other tax qualified organizations. The mission Young for Youth Foundation are aimed at building a more promising future for inner-city children and teens in need the foundation plans to focus on developing and supporting health, wellness, athletic and other educational programs for the under served, low-income children and teens living primarily in the inner city areas of Philadelphia, Memphis and New Orleans.
