"We strive to have a positive impact on our U.S. Combat Veterans as well as save the lives of homeless animals. By bringing them together we help them forge their bond and give them hope. In pairing rescued dogs with veterans we create teams that understand each other. They've both been through some tough times but keep going - happier together than alone. Our Service Dogs are Public Access Tested, Canine Good Citizen Awarded, and then further trained for the specific skills and tasks needed by each Veteran."

The Independence Fund

Founded in 2007, The Independence Fund empowers our nation's severely wounded, injured, or ill Veterans to overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. We improve the lives of both our Veterans and their families through The Independence Fund's Mobility, Caregiver, Adaptive Sports, and Advocacy programs, while also bridging the gap of unmet needs of veterans' caregivers. The Independence Fund works to give veterans the best mobility device options available, and as promote their mental and physical health.

Founded in 2008 to help the National Park Service preserve and interpret the Civil War Defenses of Washington, the ring of forts built to protect the nation's capital from Confederate attack.

Ride 2 Recovery

To improve the health and wellness of healing heroes worldwide by providing a life changing experience that can impact their lives forever.   R2R supports Spinning® Recovery Labs and outdoor cycling programs at Military and VA locations around the U.S. to help injured veterans overcome obstacles they face. Cycling is an important part of the recovery and rehabilitation program for two reasons: 1. Cycling is an activity that almost all patients with mental and physical disabilities can participate.  2. Participation in the Ride 2 Recovery Program helps speed up the recovery and rehabilitation process.  A) Ride 2 Recovery provides program events and site locations  B) R2R designs and builds specially adapted bikes to suit injured veterans needs making it possible for almost any warrior to participate in the program, including quad amputees.

Save the Brave (STB) is a certified, one hundred percent, nonprofit organization devoted to provide camaraderie and stress management programs. STB is committed to establishing connectivity of the mind, body, and spirit by creating solid support networks that are entirely accessible to all Veterans in need. Through diverse outreach programs and financial assistance, STB provides a safe and comfortable space for Veterans to connect with each other, share stories, struggles, and accomplishments to heal the wounds that go largely unseen.
