The mission of New Bethany Ministries is to create opportunities for a secure future for the homeless, hungry, poor and mentally ill of the Lehigh Valley. Our goal is to help families and individuals who are capable to become self-sufficient and able to live independently. We also strive to identify and optimize opportunities and improve the quality of life for our clients who cope with mental illness, disabilities and/or extreme poverty.

The majority of individuals in a homeless shelter at any given time are women and their children. These women are typically victims of domestic violence and are fleeing an abusive home looking to start over in a safe environment. Many other women in shelters are single mothers who lost their jobs due to unforeseen circumstances and need help to get back on their feet. Regardless of the situation that led these women to homelessness, they need support - both physical and emotional - to transition to a better life for themselves and their children. BRAWS mission is to support these women by providing new (tags on, only) bras and underwear, as well as feminine hygiene supplies. Unbeknownst to many people, these are some of the most requested critical needs by women in shelters. New bras and underwear and tampons, pads, and pantyliners are rarely donated, expensive items for a shelter to replenish, and not covered by food stamps. Insufficient access to these items often leads to unsanitary conditions and health problems.

Provide care in a Christian home for women in transition.

Family Promise seeks to end homelessness, one family at a time, by engaging faith based and community organizations to provide emergency shelter and basic needs to families with children who are homeless and to provide additional programs to assist them in finding housing and sustaining their independence

The Center for Transforming Lives works side-by-side with women and their children throughout Tarrant County to disrupt the cycle of poverty by providing comprehensive homeless services, early childhood education, economic mobility services, and clinical counseling.

Additionally, Sell To A Veteran raises money to assist you, the Veteran, in covering some of the costs that are associated with financing the purchase of your new home - earnest money, closing costs, and home repairs if needed. Now with expert realtors, direct VA approved home loan lenders, legal representation, home inspectors, and more, deserving veterans can finally realize the American dream. West Valley Community Services is fighting poverty by providing critical food, housing, and support services to the low income and homeless individuals and families living in Cupertino, Saratoga, West San Jose, Monte Sereno, and Los Gatos. The Santa Barbara Rescue Mission is a ministry of Christian people bringing physical, emotional, and spiritual resources to all who struggle with homelessness and addiction.
