Cara's mission is to unlock the power and purpose within our communities and ourselves to create real and lasting success. Through its personal and professional skills training and access to employment opportunities Cara serves as a leader of poverty alleviation in Chicago and beyond. Since 1991, we have helped more than 7,500 people find more than 11,500 quality jobs. We help motivated men and women break the barriers of poverty (and often the interrelated challenges of recovery, domestic violence, episodic homelessness, and incarceration) to get and keep good jobs, and more importantly rebuild hope, self-esteem and opportunity for themselves and their families in the process. The International Youth Foundation® (IYF®) stands by, for, and with young people. Founded in 1990 through a generous grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, IYF is a global nonprofit with programs directly benefiting 7.7 million young people and operations spanning 100 countries so far. Our mission is to build a movement to achieve economic justice, by engaging directly affected women to improve working conditions.

Leadership Initiatives (LI) renews democracies on a grassroots level by cultivating self-reliant leadership. We help individuals and communities forge the connections necessary to solve local problems using existing community resources. In the process we train a new generation of innovative, resourceful leaders poised to catapult their neighborhoods, regions, and nations forward.

TO DEVELOP AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING DESIGNED TO RETOOL, EQUIP, AND EDUCATE HISPANIC ENTREPRENEURIAL AND START-UP COMMUNITY, INCLUDING THOSE SEEKING JOB SKILLS TO OBTAIN GOOD EMPLOYMENT WITH A LOCAL COMPANY.

GOAL provides opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to increase their independence and employability through educational, vocational and recreational programs. L.A. GOAL's art and outreach activities educate the community about the abilities of people with disabilities.VISION STATEMENTOur vision is to create a more open society where people with developmental disabilities can enjoy full inclusion in their communities. To accomplish this, L.A. GOAL teaches the world about how people with developmental disabilities can better our lives. It is a magical reciprocity that we believe has long been overlooked.

The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance strengthens the social sector with a talented, prepared workforce.

U.S.VETS mission is the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development, and comprehensive support. U.S.VETS is the largest veteran-specific non-profit housing and service provider in the country with 10 sites in five states (AZ, CA, HI, NV, and TX) and the District of Columbia. Since its inception in 1993, U.S.VETS has engaged over 135,000 veterans, provided residential services to nearly 50,000 veterans and placed 13,000 veterans into jobs. Core services include supportive transitional and permanent housing and employment assistance to help homeless and at-risk veterans achieve self-sufficiency.

The Chicago Urban League (CUL) works to achieve equity for Black families and communities through social and economic empowerment. CUL achieves its mission through programming in entrepreneurship, housing and financial empowerment, youth services, workforce development, leadership development, and research and policy. CUL has been a leader and convener in Chicago's black community for over 106 years with a staff of 50+ individuals.
