To Serve The Religious, Spiritual, Educational, And Cultural Needs Of The Community, As Well As To Provide Charity To The Community.

Their mission is to create mutual relationships among South Bend’s immigrant and non-immigrant population, through meaningful friendships and community networking.

Their major educational services are weekend classes for children and adults. These classes teach the Qur’an and Arabic, religious studies, as well as reading and writing lessons in Pashto and Farsi, which are the languages spoken in Afghanistan.

API Chaya supports Asian, South Asian, and Pacific Islander survivors and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as human trafficking survivors from all communities. API Chaya engages communities to change societal conditions that enable domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking and all forms of oppression, especially violence against women and the most vulnerable in our society.
