Founded in 1912, Hadassah retains the passion and timeless values of its founder, Henrietta Szold, Jewish scholar and activist, who was dedicated to Judaism, Zionism, and the American ideal. Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina

The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is: No One Goes Hungry in Central & Eastern North Carolina. Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for over 35 years. The Food Bank serves a network of more than 800 partner agencies such as soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and programs for children and adults through distribution centers in Durham, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, the Sandhills (Southern Pines) and Wilmington. Sadly, food insecurity remains a serious problem in central and eastern North Carolina. In these counties, more than 636,920 people struggle to access nutritious and adequate amounts of food necessary for a healthy life.

Middle East Childrens Alliance

FOUNDED IN 1988, THE MIDDLE EAST CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE IS A REGISTERED NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WORKING FOR THE RIGHTS AND THE WELL BEING OF CHILDREN IN THE MIDDLE EAST. MECA SENDS SHIPMENTS OF AID TO PALESTINE, IRAQ AND LEBANON, AND SUPPORTS PROJECTS THAT MAKE LIFE BETTER FOR THE CHILDREN. WE EDUCATE NORTH AMERICANS ABOUT CHILDREN IN THE REGION. Friends of the Israel Defense Forces

To support social, educational, cultural and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women soldiers of Israel who defend the Jewish homeland. The FIDF also provides support for widows and orphans of fallen soldiers.
