Independence House helps all domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their children by creating opportunities to find safety and become empowered through crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, referral, prevention outreach, education and inspiring change in our community. Our vision is to see domestic and sexual violence come to an end.

BAGLY is a youth-led, adult supported social support organization, committed to social justice, and creating, sustaining, and advocating for programs and services for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) youth communities.

The Irish International Immigrant Center assists immigrants from Ireland and from around the world as they integrate into American society, and with partner organizations, promotes reconciliation in Ireland. Since 1976, MetroWest Legal Services has been providing free civil legal aid to low income, elderly, disabled, and other disenfranchised people living in 45 towns throughout MetroWest. We firmly believe that everyone should have access to justice, not just those who can afford it.

To strengthen families through parent education and support for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Union County promotes the welfare of the more than 500 local children removed from their families due to abuse and neglect, now residing in foster homes, group homes, shelters and treatment facilities. CASA recruits, trains, supports and supervises community volunteers to speak up for the children, ensuring their needs are met and best interests remain a priority. Considered the eyes and ears of the judge, these Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are empowered by the family court to speak to all those in the child’s life: teachers, guidance counselors, doctors, social workers, attorneys, therapists, foster parents, family members and more. Through these contacts and consistent visits with the child, the CASA volunteer reports to the court on the child’s well-being, including any outstanding needs like tutoring, counseling, after-school activities, clothing, immunizations or other medical care. CASA strives to improve the lives of the children it serves by minimizing time in the child welfare system while maximizing the opportunity for a safe and permanent home.

The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization that promotes and protects human rights globally, with a focus on closed societies. HRF unites people in the common cause of defending human rights and promoting liberal democracy. Their mission is to ensure that freedom is both preserved and promoted around the world.

Wuqu' Kawoq's mission is to address the barriers to excellent health care that the majority of Guatemala's indigenous Maya population face, including principally the lack of access to health care in their own languages. As such, Wuqu' Kawoq develops primary care and health programs within a larger context of community vitality, family stability,and Mayan language revitalization.
