We practice the power of presence.RIA's premier program offers Accompaniment which is an intentional, trauma-informed approach to care that requires a deep and personal understanding of how power held over another human being damages a person's sense of safety and control over her own life and circumstances. Our model, Sisters Leading Sisters, incorporates clinical and healing practices in every step of support. These practices include survivor professional mentorship and advocacy, weekly virtual groups, case management, and clinical therapy.Services are facilitated by skilled women with lived experiences of sexual exploitation/prostitution, addiction, chronic illness, dv, and homelessness. We use an action-oriented, relational approach to fostering self-esteem and self-actualization. We bring compassionate community to the people we meet.

Since 1957, EveryMind has been a trusted mental health resource providing direct services, community education and advocacy which bring healing, hope and wholeness to children, youth, adults, veterans and families. While EveryMind provides services throughout the entire National Capital Region, our services typically target the community’s most vulnerable and low-income residents. In the past year, EveryMind provided direct services to more than 15,000 individuals. EveryMind’s programs and services are directed at reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and ensuring our entire community has the resources they need to reach optimal mental wellness. These programs include: Friendly Visitor, which combats loneliness and isolation among older adults; Linkages to Learning, which provides school-based mental health services for at-risk students and families; Representative Payee, which helps individuals with a disability or mental illness manage their finances; ServingTogether, which coordinates a network of resources for veterans, service members and their families; case management and counseling services for children, youth, adults and families; and crisis prevention and intervention services for the entire community.

Washburn Center for Children nurtures every child and family's well-being and full potential through transformative children's mental health care.With the vast COVid-19 impacts, families are more isolated, struggling with job loss and economic stressors, and deeply affected by the pervasive anxiety that we are all experiencing. Our team moved rapidly to ensure we would continue to support the health and well-being of our staff and the children and families who they serve. In mid-March, we suspended face-to-face sessions at our sites and transitioned to phone-based and teletherapy for all services. We have capacity for new children and families who need stabilizing therapeutic services because of intensified stress, anxiety and depression.
