SAFE Shelter

Prevent, Protect, Change - The mission of SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence is to prevent domestic violence, protect victims and promote change in lives, families and our community. For over 30 years, SAFE Shelter has been Savannah’s only shelter dedicated to victims of intimate partner violence and their underage children.  Open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, the Shelter provides safe, confidential services to all victims of domestic violence.

The Family Tree leads Maryland in preventing child abuse, connects caring communities, and builds strong families to improve society for generations. We educate and empower parents to help them make good decisions when raising their families—the ultimate result is to help children. More than 30,000 people receive help through our evidence-based programs and parenting classes each year. In addition, we provide professional training, community education, and advocacy for legislation that prevents child abuse and neglect.

Turtle Island Restoration Network

The Sea Turtle Restoration Project (STRP), founded in 1989, TIRN's oldest and largest project, works to protect and restore endangered sea turtle populations worldwide in ways that meet the needs of the turtles and the needs of neighboring local communities using grassroots action, multimedia campaigns, hands-on conservation, environmental education, and litigation. STRP's sponsoring nonprofit is Turtle Island Restoration Network or TIRN.
