Ocean Alliance strives to increase public awareness of the importance of whale and ocean health through research and public education. We work with our scientific partners to collect a broad spectrum of data on whales and ocean life. Ocean Alliance uses this data to advise educators, policy makers, and the general public on wise stewardship of the oceans to mitigate pollution, prevent the collapse of marine mammal populations, and promote ocean and human health. Ocean Alliance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Organization, and was founded in 1971.

California Trout's mission is to ensure healthy waters and resilient, wild fish for a better California. Our belief is that abundant wild fish indicate healthy waters and that healthy waters mean a better California. AQUACULTURE RESEARCH - The purpose of the Oceanic Institute is for the advancement and extension of research in all of the fields and areas of marine sciences generally and to engage in, assist and contribute to the support of scientific, educational, and charitable activities and projects, and to contribute to the support of, and to create and maintain scientific, educational and charitable institutions, organizations and funds of any and every kind.

To conduct scientific research with emphasis on marine mammals of the western North Atlantic and on the coastal and marine habitats and resources of the Gulf of Maine; to promote stewardship of coastal and marine ecosystems to ensure their continued viability and biodiversity, through directed research and management strategies; to conduct educational activities and to provide educational resources that encourage the responsible use and conservation of coastal and marine ecosystems; and to collaborate with other institutions and individuals whenever possible to advance the Center's mission.
