The Saskatoon SPCA has been providing a safe shelter and finding happy homes for companion animals in Saskatoon and surrounding area since 1968. As a registered charitable organization, the Saskatoon SPCA relies on the generosity of individual and corporate donors to raise necessary funds to provide shelter, care, nutrition and love to an average of 5,500 abandoned, lost, homeless and orphaned animals annually.

Lions Foundation of Canada operates Dog Guides Canada, a national school which trains and provides Dog Guides at no cost to Canadians with visual, hearing or other physical or medical disabilities. The Dog Guide programs are Canine Vision Canada, Hearing Ear, Special Skills,Seizure Response and Autism Assistance Dog Guides.

Pathways to Education Canada is a charitable organization that helps youth in low-income communities graduate from high school and successfully transition into post-secondary education or training. Pathways to Education addresses systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates. Founded in 2001, Pathways operates in 12 communities across Canada, with programs in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba.

Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a registered charity whose purpose is to raise funds to support the health and well being of children and youth in need on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Our roots go back to 1922, and we were previously known as the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children. Temporary shelter and assistance in locating permanent housing . . . GENESIS - provides clothing and small household items at no cost . . . FOOD BANK - provides grocery store style selection with dry goods, bakery items, refrigerator and freezer sections. Clients can access every 21 days . . . SOUP KITCHEN - serves a hot meal 365 days of the year in a social setting.

As a registered charity, the Children’s Aid Foundation raises funds for programs of the Children’s Aid Society and other child welfare organizations that support children in three critical areas: Education programs that give children a chance to pursue their dreams and build successful lives for themselves, Enrichment programs that provide recreational and cultural opportunities so that disadvantaged children can experience healthy development, and Prevention programs that provide support for families before abuse and neglect begin.

They shouldn’t be worried about where their next meal is coming from. At Community Crew, we are dedicated to providing nutritious lunches to kids who need them most. But it doesn’t stop there. Through community engagement we are helping to inspire our future leaders to understand the importance of giving back and working together. From encouraging notes in lunches to friendly smiles and high-fives at school, everything we do is aimed to help children gain the confidence they need to succeed.

The St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton is a non-profit organization ready to extend a supporting hand and provide compassionate care to enhance quality and dignity of life for those diagnosed with a terminal illness and their families. Service is extended from time of diagnosis through bereavement. Established programs include the "Walking Companions" Bereavement Support Groups, complementary therapies (massage, hair care, manicure, pedicure, Reiki, therapeutic touch), "Food for Thought" Luncheons, resource library and the "Caring Hearts" Children's Grief and Bereavement program. A residential hospice will also be operational in 2008. Caring for the mind, body and spirit is essential to improving the quality of life. People of all cultures, ages and belief systems have unique needs to which the Hospice's specially trained staff will respond with compassion and respect. All services are available free of charge to registered clients.
