he Long Island Zoological Society in Manorville New York, is a not-for-profit organization, funded entirely by your visits to our park and generous donations. Our park is open to the public as the Animal Farm Petting Zoo. This unique and original Long Island Petting Zoo, has been servicing the community since 1981, providing care and shelter for homeless and unwanted animals- farm animals, birds, reptiles and exotics.

WILD WINGS IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT HOUSES AND CARES FORPERMANENTLY INJURED BIRDS OF PREY OR "RAPTORS" WHICH ARE UNABLE TOSURVIVE ON THEIR OWN IN THE WILD ANY MORE.OUR MISSION IS TO TEACHENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP THROUGH PROGRAMS FEATURING OUR RESIDENTRAPTORS AS OUR TEACHING PARTNERS. WE TRAVEL WITH OUR RAPTORS TOSCHOOLS, SCOUT MEETINGS, AND MANY OTHER CORPORATE AND PRIVATE EVENTS,AND WE ALSO HOST EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND HIKES AT OUR FACILITY ATMENDON PONDS PARK.

OUR MAIN PURPOSE IS TO SAVE AND RESCUE WOLVES/WOLF DOGS AND GIVE THEM A SAFE PLACE TO SPEND THE REST OF THEIR LIVES AND TO MAINTAIN THEIR HEALTH AND COMFORT.

We use science to educate and protect. This is our mission. This is what drives us relentlessly forward. The challenges facing this critical apex predator are many, and seemingly overwhelming. More than 100 million are slaughtered every year for their fins. Climate change is dramatically disrupting the oceanic ecosystem and food chain. And mankind’s attitudes are indifferent at best; savage at worst. We believe science—rigorous, peer-reviewed, professional—can inform and guide governing bodies and society at large to conservation policies that ensure the sustainability of all shark species.

Atlantic Marine Conservation Society’s (AMCS) mission is to promote marine conservation through action. This is accomplished through education, research, and response. AMCS is the lead large whale response organization in New York State. As a non-profit organization, the society conducts research projects within the marine environment, and responds to whales, porpoises, dolphins, and sea turtles in the northeast region, and conducts public and private education programs across Long Island into New York City. Partnering with other organizations within the stranding network, AMCS continues to build critical event response capabilities through the Specially Trained Animal Response Team (START).

Founded in 1883 by NY State as a fish hatchery, today our mission is to bring knowledge and understanding of our freshwater environment to students of all ages and the general public, connect people to nature, and encourage environmental stewardship.
