Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge sits on 171 wooded acres on the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands. The Refuge includes the Woodford Nature Center, an outdoor housing area with more than 60 native residents, and a wildlife rehabilitation hospital. The overall mission of the Refuge is to serve as a community resource on the importance of protecting and enhancing healthy ecosystems for all. To that end, Cedar Run engages in: ecologically based land management; the operation of a Federally and NJ State licensed hospital facility that cares for more than 4,500 injured, orphaned or displaced native wild animals each year; the education of over 20,000 students annually through our various on-site and outreach programs; and serves as an active resource to the greater New Jersey community on all wildlife and habitat related questions and issues.
To eradicate the killing of dogs in overcrowded SE shelters, focusing on those who are severely abused and neglected - those who are usually euthanized first. We are a rescue resource providing emergency medical, surgical and rehabilitation to severely abused/neglected dogs.
Our mission is to provide a safe and loving home for large breed senior dogs (50+ pounds, 7 years or older) who have been displaced from their homes and/or abandoned for any reason, until they are adopted or to remain at the sanctuary until they pass on.

Since 2020, we have assisted with getting over 2000 community cats and dogs fixed. We also partner with Liberty County Animal Services to sponsor spay/neuter and medical cases.Programs: Our Lucky Tailroad Fund sponsors free spay/neuter, vaccinations, and needed medical for the cats and dogs of Liberty County, GA. We sponsor both community and owned pets.
Healing Paws for Warriors is a veteran founded / veteran led 501(c)(3) that provides rescue-to trained ADA certified service dogs to veterans faced with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) at “no cost” to the veteran with continued support. Our team is comprised of a combat medical war veteran, practicing PTSD therapist, professional service dog trainer, a veterinarian, and many other supportive volunteers. Our dogs come only from local rescues. Our service dog trainer teaches the dogs and the veterans as a team. The dogs are not pets, they are service dogs with the complete protection and rights granted by the American with Disabilities Act. We are devoted to pairing and training service dogs with veterans at NO C
