Action for Animals is an educational organization that works to promote positive change in the ways people view and treat animals. Because every animal has the right to live his or her life free from oppression and exploitation, AFA promotes a vegan diet and lifestyle—not using animals for food, clothing, entertainment, research, trade, or any other objectifying purpose—and vegan activism as the best way to take action for animals.

We rescue dogs that rescue families. 1. To promote the use of Service Dogs by individuals with invisible disabilities. 2. When possible, to offer training to dogs already in the homes of individuals with psychological, emotional, or intellectual challenges. 3. To educate and train other Service Dog trainers on issues specific to individuals with invisible disabilities.
Los Gatos Foster Animals is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-staffed, no-kill animal rescue funded 100% by donations and located in Genesee County, Michigan. There is no paid staff or paid board members; we rely solely upon volunteers, giving of their time, love and homes to house our animals until they find their “forever homes”. The kitties do not leave our care until they are healthy, socialized and neutered or spayed. The foster animals need medical care, food, etc. We are ever so thankful for any and all donations to Los Gatos Foster Animals and we will continue to be watchful and mindful stewards of all the creatures entrusted to our care.

Thousands of animals in our community are put to death each year due to overpopulation. Solano County Friends of Animals (SCFOA) is a group of animal loving volunteers who are dedicated to reducing the population of unwanted and abandoned pets in Solano County by providing an adoption service for homeless pets and by actively working to provide low cost spay/neuter options and reduce the number of feral cats in Solano County through Trap/Neuter/Return. SCFOA is a no-kill group. Any pet fostered by SCFOA is kept until a suitable home can be found. Unfortunately, we don't have the facilities to house all the unwanted pets, however, placement services are available. Adoption Events are held every Saturday and Sunday at three different venues in Solano County. We are a registered non-profit organization with the state of California; all donations are tax deductible. 100% of cash contributions go directly to helping the animals.
Triangle Chance for All's mission is to rescue farmed animals who end up in county shelters in the Triangle region of North Carolina to assure they do not go back into the for-profit agricultural system. Orangutan Outreach's mission is to protect orangutans in their native habitat while providing care for orphaned and displaced orangutans until they can be returned to their natural environment. We seek to raise funds and promote public awareness of orangutan conservation issues by collaborating with partner organizations around the world.
We save highly adoptable dogs and puppies from overpopulated shelters in the South. We welcome people who are interested in fostering and have a passion for dogs. The more fosters we have, the more dogs we can save. Most of our dogs and puppies come from The Humane Society of Campbell County, VA & Humane Society of Amherst County, VA. We have been working with these shelters for years and have established a wonderful relationship them. The employees and volunteers there work exceptionally hard at saving the animals that come in on a daily basis.
The foundation of our program is education. Without education on spay/neuter, breed specific legislation (BSL), training, breed specific workshops, the dog fighting culture and responsible ownership, the epidemic will never end. Rescue is a mere bandage in the overall scale of the canine epidemic. Shelters are overrun, rescues are overflowing and society is in need of education. For every one spot we fill in our program, we turn away 50. We average 20-25 canines at any given time and 90% of our rescue population is comprised of the American Pit Bull Terrier. We work with canines from any and every background, whether it be a surrendered family pet, bait dog, seasoned fighter or the abused. We are a no-kill rescue/rehabilitation in that we will never euthanize for space. We, as a moral, ethical and objective organization, will NOT adopt out a canine that is a threat to society. We are advocates of the American Pit Bull Terrier, as such we will not add to the epidemic by being irresponsible.
