Our mission is to be the charity platform to connect contributors, volunteers, and beneficiaries with the end result being making charitable giving a part of everyone's life. For contributors, we are here to help the contributors to give charitably and deliver help to their preferred and most needed beneficiaries. For beneficiaries, we aim to provide substantial help to people who are less fortunate, with the goal to assist them to be self-sustained and be able to contribute back to the society. For volunteers, we aim to influence and inspire so that when you think back over your life, you will find that the moments that stood out are moments when you did something to help a person in need.
How Your Donations Help
- $1.50 will ensure a nutritional meal is provided to 1 underprivileged hungry soul in Malaysia
- $15 will provide 1 session of dialysis aid to 1 needy patient
- $30 can cover 2 weeks of groceries supply to 1 urban family in Malaysia
- $75 will ensure sufficient grocery supplies for 1 needy family for a month
- $90 will provide nutritional lunch for 10 needy individuals for a week
- $200 will cover the dialysis aid for 1 needy family for a month
- $500 will ensure that 333 nutritional meals are fed to underprivileged individuals so that they do not go hungry for the day
- $3,000 will provide grocery supplies to 40 urban poor families for a month

Our Impact

Madam Baizura is a woman of unwavering strength and selfless determination, who perseveres to love and care for her family members in spite of her health situation. Despite being affected by unemployment and having to go for dialysis treatment 3 times weekly due to her kidney illness, she is still determined to carry out her role as a caring wife, a loving mother, and a filial daughter-in-law for her husband, son, and mother-in-law, catering to their needs while at home. Great Heart’s support to her via the Hand-in-Hand Dialysis Aid Program since December 2022 has been a lifeline, covering her dialysis fees that alleviates some of her family’s burden, while she applies for dialysis subsidy from the social welfare department. Baizura’s heartfelt determination to overcome obstacles is commendable, fuelled by her resilience and unwavering love for her family, to build a better future.

Mr Hew is a source of inspiration, a person who bravely faces life’s many challenges with unyielding spirit and determination, which is further strengthened by the love from his family. At 44, he resides with his wife and three young children, the eldest being 22 years old. Previously employed as a lorry driver for many years, he encountered a setback in February 2023 when he was laid off after falling ill to kidney failure. However, amidst these trying times of losing his primary source of income as well as falling to ill health, Mr Hew’s eldest daughter has stepped up to shoulder the responsibility of supporting the family. Great Heart’s Hand-in-Hand Dialysis Aid Program further provided him with assistance by covering his monthly dialysis fees while he is in the process of applying for SOCSO subsidy. Mr Hew’s story reminds us that no matter how bad the situation may be, one must stay strong and be resilience to overcome any obstacle.

Addressing SDG Target 1.2 to reduce the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions and SDG Target 2.1 to end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round, Great Heart supports 40 poor underprivileged families with monthly groceries support, with Great Heart’s team of volunteers buying and sending the groceries to each respective family on monthly basis. Ad-hoc emergency assistance is also provided on need-basis for urgent cases. Addressing SDG Target 3.4 to reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and SDG Target 3.C to increase health financing in least developing countries, Great Heart supports 30 families undergoing dialysis treatment every month by subsidising part of their monthly medical fees. Addressing SDG Target 2.1 to end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round, free lunches will be given out to pre-registered and walk-in clients in the form of prepacked lunch boxes at GHCC for 6 days per week from every Monday until Saturday. 100 sets of lunch boxes will be allocated at each day’s lunch session to cater to 100 clients on a first-come, first-served basis. Addressing SDG Target 4.1 to ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable, and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes, GHCC at Klang and Melaka conducts two-hour tutoring classses for children from underprivileged families every Saturday to ensure that they could achieve at least a minimum proficiency level in reading. Activities and workshops are also conducted every month that covers vast range of area and caters to children, old folks, as well as volunteers.
